Talk About the Past

Talk About the Past

This worksheet starts by making us feel a little nostalgic. The first page includes some pictures of non-digitalized items which were used in the past and which we may or may not still use today. The teacher should work with the class to come up with the vocabulary for these items together.

In the second part of the worksheet, the students are asked to name and discuss historical events and figures. This should get the students speaking in the past tense and practicing those pesky irregular verbs!

Additionally, this can be particularly interesting for classes with mixed nationalities as students can learn about new historical events and figures they had never heard about before. If the students are from the same country encourage them to still discuss events that are known to them and share their knowledge. There’s always something new to learn from someone else!
