Where do Words Come From?

This video based B2-C2 worksheet looks at the subject of interesting words in the English language and their roots. The worksheet would also be appropriate for a B1 learner, but the video section may be difficult for them. The students will discuss language in general, read some interesting facts about the English language, and then match some words with their origins. Finally the students will watch and discuss a video on the origin of the word “O.K”. This worksheet will work well with any class that likes to chat, and is packed with interesting facts.
