Weird Travel Destinations

This B1-B2 level worksheet starts with conversational questions about travel in general. The students are then introduced to some necessary vocabulary and asked to read about 6 “weird travel destinations” around the world, and to discuss the destinations amongst themselves. The final exercise asks the students to go to www.atlasobscura.com (an online atlas that lists thousands of unusual destinations), find and read about a destination that interests them, and then discuss that destination with the rest of the class. This task can be completed in class on the student’s phones, or given as homework. This worksheet is perfect for a class that likes to talk, and could easily be used with a higher level class.
