The Three Meanings of “Get”

This worksheet looks at the three main meanings of the word “get.” This can be a very confusing word for beginner to intermediate learners, because it is so common and has so many meanings. The worksheet also touches on the past simple, present simple, and future simple tenses, and will be a good refresher for any students who have recently studied these tenses. Students will learn about and practice “get” as in to receive, “get” as in arrive, and “get” as in become. There are also 2 exercises at the end of the worksheet about common phrasal verbs which use get.
