Telephone English

This is an A2-B1 worksheet about telephone English which contains listening, speaking, and reading elements. Students will discuss different types of phone calls and their feelings towards them, then read through a phone conversation and select useful phone phrases. Next the students will practice making an appointment on the phone in a roleplay, and then listen to a phone call in which a man leaves a message in a professional setting. Finally, students will read through some more useful phone phrases and practice taking and leaving messages themselves.

This worksheet will work well with any A2-B1 class, but will be particularly useful for a pre-intermediate business English class.
