Weird Travel Destinations
This free B2 level worksheet starts with conversational questions about travel in general. This worksheet is perfect for a class that likes to chat, and could be used for higher level classes too.
The worksheet starts with some warm up questions about travel in general, after which the students will complete a matching exercise containing some vocabulary necessary for the next exercise.
The next exercise, and the main exercise of this worksheet, asks the students read and discuss 6 “weird travel destinations” around the world. There is a large amount of variety in these weird tourist attractions, and most classes will have plenty to say about them.
The final exercise asks the students to go to www.atlasobscura.com (an online atlas that lists thousands of unusual destinations), find and read about a destination that interests them, and then discuss that destination with the rest of the class. This task can be completed in class on the student’s phones, or given as homework.
