Jack and Alba: At the Red Lion Pub
This is the sixth part of a series of worksheets starting at an A1 level. The series follows Jack and Alba, a couple who meet on an online dating app. The students are taken through real-life scenarios gradually learning different grammar points and vocabulary.
Teachers can save time by using the series as a course plan and following it in order. However, the worksheets also work individually so you can start at any point.
We find ourselves at The Red Lion Pub in Chapter 6. To gain speaking confidence students will repeat and expand on the task of ordering food from the previous chapters. The focus of this chapter, however, is to introduce the present simple vs. the present continuous to the students for the first time.
