Business Study Amazon

Business Study: Amazon

Business Study: Amazon

This is an advanced level business English worksheet that analyses Amazon as a business. The worksheet contains speaking, listening, and reading elements, and contains a lot of useful vocabulary for describing businesses and their finances, and contains some interesting facts about Amazon. This worksheet also contains a video segment.

The worksheet starts with some general warm up questions about online shopping, and then students will be asked to complete a quiz about Amazon (some of the answers may surprise them!).

After this students will read through a text about the rise of Amazon, and find out how many of their answers to the quiz were correct. They will also need to complete the text by filling in some gaps with words such as “revenue”, “market cap”, and “subsidiary.”

After this students will read a table that gives core financial information about some of the biggest companies in the world and discuss (revenue, profit, debt etc), and discuss the information with a partner with some conversation questions.

Finally, students will learn some important vocabulary for understanding a video about Amazon, and then watch the video and answer some comprehension questions.

This worksheet will work well with any business English class that is in finance, or any class that has an occupation that requires them to talk about or research companies from a big picture perspective.

Quick and Easy English is not affiliated with the The Richest YouTube channel. The video included is used for educational purposes only.
