Would you like…?
Would you like…?
Would you like…?
This is an A2 level worksheet about how we use “would like” to talk about wants. The worksheet also has a focus on question words such as ‘what’, ‘who’, ‘where’, and ‘why.’
The lesson starts with a quick explanation of ‘would like’, and then asks the class to read a short dialogue between two boys discussing what they would like for Christmas. The class will then answer a few comprehension questions about the dialogue.
After this, the class will read about “would you like…?” questions, and the structure we use for open and closed questions. They will then have to complete a series of questions using question words such as ‘what’, ‘how’, and ‘where.’ After they have completed the questions they will take turns asking their partner the questions.
Next students will look at a menu and take turns as customer and waiter asking each other what they would like.
Finally, the class is given a list of wants (having a pet cat, visiting japan, etc) and they must walk around the class and find one person who would like each thing on the list.
