This is an A2 (pre-intermediate) PDF worksheet about vehicles which contains speaking, reading, and writing elements. The lesson starts with some light warm-up questions, after which students must match pictures of vehicles to their names (motorbike, van, helicopter etc). After this the class will complete a table with some common travel verbs such as “drive”, “ride”, and “fly.” The class must then complete a short dialogue about a man’s holiday using the verbs they have learned (note: this section also contains verbs in past simple).

In the next section the class will read several advertisements for second hand vehicles, and match underlined vocabulary such as “wheel” and “headlights” to a picture of a car below.

Next, the class will read a brief explanation of “I would/ I would not” statements, and then read back through the advertisements for cars from the previous exercise and make statement on whether or not they would buy the vehicle in question and why.

The final exercise is some more advanced conversation questions about vehicles and travel in general.
