This is a B1 level worksheet about sports. Students will discuss their experiences with sports, learn some important sport vocabulary, learn some more advanced ways of talking about likes and dislikes and apply them to sports, listen to an audio of two people talking about what sports they like and dislike, and read some texts about incredible sports stories. They will also learn some common sports idioms such as “give it a shot” and “throw in the towel.” This worksheet will work well with any intermediate class interested in sports, but will also work well with any class that wants to practice talking about likes and dislikes, or needs to practice their listening. The final exercise is an optional homework exercise in which the students must write a description of a sporting event they went to.

The transcript for the audio can be found at the end of the Teacher’s Version (TV) worksheet.
