Jack and Alba: Alba’s Flat

This is the ninth part of a series of worksheets at an A1+ level. The series follows Jack and Alba, a couple who meet on an online dating app. The students are taken through real-life scenarios gradually learning different grammar points and vocabulary.

Teachers can save time by using the series as a course plan and following it in order. However, the worksheets also work individually so you can start at any point.

In this worksheet, Alba describes her flat. Students learn about house vocabulary, prepositions of place and there is/there are. After some practice students engage in speaking practice about their homes using the learnt vocabulary.
