A little About Us

Kay and I are English teachers who live and work in Hamburg, Germany. We teach adult ESL learners, and a few years ago had several discussions about how frustrated we were with the quality of ESL content online. We found that most websites had materials that were either dry and uncreative, or not suitable for adults. We also found that a lot of the time the sites themselves would be confusing and counter-intuitive (websites that have 50 different download buttons, I’m looking at you!). So eventually we thought; we can do better, so we did! It’s our goal to create high quality and engaging ESL teaching materials that are suitable for adults and teenagers.

We have a lot of free PDF worksheets on our site, because we want to give visitors to the site ample chance to “try before you buy”, and feedback on either the worksheets or the website is always welcome, particularly requests for specific worksheets in the future. We try to have a good mix of business English and general English, about forty percent of the worksheets are business English worksheets. We also try to make our worksheets as user friendly as possible, with on page clickable links on the PDF to both audio and video. That way if you are doing a listening exercise, you or your students can simply click on the link and it will take you straight to the audio file or video!

Moving forward we plan to have a lot of series of worksheets that teachers can use back-to-back, often that follow a story or narrative. This way teachers can save time on lesson planning by simply following the series of worksheets to the end. We also plan to implement A5 PDF worksheets, and implement a curriculum creation system where teachers can create and follow their own curriculum with our worksheets!
